Seminars and Workshops

Seminars

At Adelaide, we have a very active seminar program. On most Fridays at 4pm during teaching periods, there is a seminar featuring an interstate or international speaker. Everyone is welcome to participate, the seminars are held in the Eric Russell Room, Napier Building, Room LG14. The seminars are usually followed by drinks and then dinner at a local restaurant. Those who are interested in giving a seminar, or who want more information can contact the co-ordinator, Dr Virginie Masson.

Scholars in economics and business interested in additional seminar opportunities in the Adelaide area should also explore the University of South Australia School of Commerce analogous seminar series.

Workshops

We also have a series of slightly less formal workshops on most teaching period Mondays at 1pm which we affectionately call "Brainbags". These are held in the Eric Russell Room, Napier Building, Room LG14 and are usually led by Adelaide faculty and post-graduate students. In addition, the brainbag series includes visitors that we can’t fit into the usual seminar program. Again, everyone is more than welcome to attend. Those who are interested in giving a brainbag or who want more information can contact the coordinator, Dr Eran Binenbaum.
