What is Economics? Competition
In 2011 the School of Economics ran a competition open to High School students, asking them to creatively display 'What is Economics?'
The entries came in from near and far, and were absolutely fantastic! The level of creativity and the way in which the students communicated what Economics meant to them, was beyond anything we could have predicted. It is clearly evident that those who study Economics have an excellent understanding of its meaning, and just how important Economics is to the world in which we live. Studying Economics develops lifelong analytical skills with which graduates can build a strong basis for long-term career success. Economics gives you the bigger picture!
With so many excellent entries, choosing just one winner was incredibly difficult. The final decision lay with the Head of the School of Economics - Associate Professor Mandar Oak.
